Release of India’s version of ‘Fast and Furious’ is doing gargantuan business in the
States. But you’d never discern from watching it that Bollywood is proficient
of making good movies. It’s
been entitled the prime blockbuster in Indian film history, and the first with existent
edge potential.
What’s extra
puzzling is that the movie has succeeded to smashed box-office records anyway, exceedingly
the U.S. topmost ten in its inaugural weekend there and grading in close to $58
million worldwide in just 10 days.
Dhoom series
are the Fast and the Furious, with each film displaying a different superstar
as the unethical guy. Here, it’s Sahir the prankster robber, played by a outwardly
constipated Aamir Khan. (Khan, a self-described perfectionist and India’s optimum
thespian, wore a bowler hat for two years for the character.) The intrigue is
straightforward: Sahir wants to rescind the evil bankers who padlocked down his
father’s circus years ago.
The story is
thrilling, sexy and full entertaining be it the The Magical Motorcycle where
Sahir’s motorcycle take-offs
off a bridge and in the direction of the water. Dhoom! It transmutes into a jet
sky, which is then dives beneath marine, then shoots out of the marine and cracks
back into a motorcycle, Indian’s
Top Hot Cops when The
Chicago police hire two officers from India to crack the case. In one scene,
the officer slings onto a ladder from a helicopter as he rushes the thief. He fires

Bank Robberies in which
first stint we see the prankster thief, he was running down a wall, with some bizarre
black cable coming out of his rucksack. (That piece of rope conveniently shoots
out and pulls him to safety whenever he needs it.) Money showers down on the
people below. He just ambushed the bank! How? Don’t ask. Where’s the money he
has taken? Don’t ask. and amazed shot that showed ‘momentum Doesn’t Exist’ when
motorcycles go from 60 to 0 mph in a second, without hurling the driver off. In
another stunt, the clown
thief straddles a rope while driving between
buildings.
As far as cinematography
conerns, that’s where the movie clinches you. The ‘Malang’ sequence is luminously
shot, unlike the most of the dance numbers today that have crores spent on them
with all the firangi dancers selected up from Colaba, dazzling lights
and numerous struts- the upshot being a massive headache. This song, however,
is a beautiful piece of art in motion. The chase sequences are very well shot
and are the highlight of the film. In fact, the scenes shot in Chicago’s
underground remind one of scenes from The Dark Knight. Also, just like
the Prankster, Sahir too leaves a clown memento at the site of his crimes.
The chronicle
moves in the same attitude and you might find a few chapters implausible, but
in terms of global impact, it surpasses the earlier installments by leaps and
bounds. You watch the minutes with captivated attention, gored to the big
screen, despite a run time of almost three hours. Clearly, the director knows
what the spectator wants and he gives it to them. The Acrobatic choreography of
Vaibhavi Merchant added starto the movie.
In one piece,
DHOOM-3 is unique rock-solid entertainer encumbered with outlook and star power
that will leave fans of the series slobbering for more. It is miles ahead of
its predecessors in the DHOOM series. This will splinter former records and set
new ones. SURE-SHOT SMASH HIT.
