Thank God you are not alive Mr. Gandhi
His birth anniversary is celebrated throughout the country, national flag is unfurled on government buildings, schools and colleges are given a day off and most importantly 2nd October is observed as a ‘dry day’…. A nice initiative by the government to give respect to the Father of the Nation but wait a second! A beer shop opens furtively and at a double price supply the need of a customer. He abuses the shopkeeper for the hiked price, then abuses the government for such rule and then abuses the ‘birthday boy’ for being born on that day! In a survey conducted by The Tribune, Chandigarh in year 2006 the team found that many vendors sold liquor in Durgi, Sarbha Nagar, BRS Nagar, Kochar Market and many other parts of the city. The worst part was that the shops were illuminated more on the eve of 2nd October to increase the sales and the banner of one of the shops displayed a notice which read, “Vend would remain closed on October 2 in view of Dassehra”. No one objected on such a notice, not even the Excise Department. The shopkeepers were happy that the last minute sale was high. This maddening scene can also be seen in other parts of the country. A student wakes late in the morning and enjoy the day out with friends in an expensive restaurant, but he doesn’t know the reason for the day off. He heard the teacher saying last day that due to Gandhi Jayanti, school will be closed tomorrow but he didn’t bother to know who is Gandhi, the first reaction was, “phew! A holiday…”
Once Mahatma Gandhi said, "I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt,
or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall
the face of the poorest and the weakest man or woman whom you may have seen,
and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him
or her. Will he or she gain anything by it? Will it restore him or her to a
control over his or her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to
swaraj freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will
find your doubts and yourself melt away."- (One of the last notes left behind by
Gandhi in 1948, expressing his deepest social thought).
These words are worth thinking but does this practice apply in the present
scenario when about 27 crore people live below poverty line in our country. When
such a huge population is poor will it be feasible for us to recall a
particular face. Everyday many underprivileged people are dying and a new line
of underprivileged are being born in this country, rich are getting richer and
poor are getting poorer so my point is that in a country where millions of
people die in earthquakes, tsunamis or epidemics and no billionaire help them
with a penny so merely recalling their faces is not enough. If you were present
today Mr Gandhi, even you would have got confused with their faces because
every person you will meet today is dying of hunger and suffering from this disease
called ‘poverty’!
Mahatma Gandhi was shot to death by Nathu Ram Godse on this January day 66 years back. He became the biggest enemy of the country. Before him about 6 attempts were made till 1934 to kill Gandhi but Gandhi’s name was written on Godse’s bullet. Nand Lal Mehta filled the FIR againt Godse for murdering his hero. With ‘Hey Ram’ as his last word, Mahatma left this world. Godse was a murderer but think the other way…. He freed the most honest person of the world from the country of cheats yet to come.
Thanks to Godse he saved Gandhi from a severe heart attack which he would have experienced after seeing the Godhra riots. Thanks to Godse for saving the Mahatma from getting a nervous breakdown which would have got after seeing the ‘dirty politics’ of this country. Just think for a while, what would have happened to the person who always taught ‘Satya’ as the road to success when he would have seen the CWG or 2G graft in the country. He could not have made eye contact with Kalmadi or Raja….

An Accolade to “Aye mere vatan ke logon”
A melody,
which has quivered every one, which has evolved the emotion of nationalism,
which is garden-fresh and esteem for all the extra ordinary people of “bharat”.
A melody that was written, near seashore with a borrowed pen and paper did a
miracle when the nightingale of India sung it.
27th
January 2014 this song completed lifespan of 51 years. A tune that is soul excruciating
for all the Indians went through a long age and renowned as the most touching
patriotic song which was written by poet Pradeep and sung by Late Mangeshkar.
The ditty, was engraved as a homage to Indian combatants
who perished through the Sino-Indian War in 1962.Lata Mangeshkar, 84, splendidly
intoned the song in the manifestation of Nehru at the Ramlila Maidan in New
Delhi, just a day after the Republic Day.
The song said
to have stirred Nehru to sobbing as the battle had ruined just two months previously
and its reminiscences were tranquil renewed. "Those who don't feel inspired
by 'Aye mere watan ke logo' doesn't deserve to be called a Hindustani",
said Nehru. The song received rave appreciation from across the country.
BJP prime ministerial contender Narendra Modi led over
one lakh people in Mumbai on 27th January 2014 in their rendering of
the jingoistic song 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon', which captivated the entire
country after the loss against China in 1962. This track has gladdened our
hearts," Modi said, reimbursing praise to the fabled singer at Shreshtra
Bharat Divas Merriments at Mahalaxmi Race Course.
“The song vibrates even today…when we eavesdrop the song
we emanate to know of what emerged during the battlefield, the tactic the ditty
was carved and the vocal sound in arrears the song is such that even nowadays
it senses that as if every martyr is alive and esteemed the history of
warriors.

26 January : Republic India
Indian Republic Day is an occasion that memorializes the day, 26 January
1950 on which the “Constitution of India” emanated to presence by swapping
Government of India Act 1935.
This
day is very momentous in Indian antiquity as on this day India turn out to be
consensus from the ‘British Dominion’. Every year this day feted with much fervor
throughout India with a great pomp & show. To smear the prominence of this
juncture, each year a majestic pageant held in the Centre, from the Raisena
Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's Palace), along the Rajpath,
bygone India Gate and on to the historic Red Fort.
The
diverse squadrons of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force trudge past in all
their insignia and official coronets. The President, who is the Commander in
Chief of the Armed Forces, takes the salute. The Republic Day merriments have
exactly become domain famous as one of the utmost lingoes on earth drawing
thousands of excited sight-seers from all over the country and corners of the world.
No
other nation in the globe can carnival so many anthropologically diverse
persons in marvelous liveries as India's Armed Forces. Not merely army men but,
from a toddler to a bloke every singular celebrate India’s republic day in altered
flair. Still we are incompetent to comprehend the connotation of “REPUBLIC”. In
country republic is only wedged with treks, salutation and emblem hosting.
Sensation
of jingoism inundated our core on that explicit day and from next day, every
sensation speeded out because for us republic day has now become a day of Break
when we can sit at liberty in home and relish our day. When we
see the economic, political and technical growth, we feel very muddled and so
we move forth leaving these all behind, present condition of India is not so
worth that it can painstaking as Republic. Corruption, rapes, undergrowth of
social side etc are many issues that are really a snarl-up in saying India is a
“Republic”.
In
concrete India will be republic on the day it gain a constructive merriment not
pomp & show. May our nation will become really ‘REPUBLIC’. VANDE MATRAM JAI

India’s incredible supremacy battered
“Entreat
that we never see this day. Today, more than 68% of women in India are fatalities
of domestic viciousness. Tomorrow, it appears like no woman shall be sheltered.
Not even the ones we pray to.”
India is
incredible country not only with its diverse shades but also in pommelling their
incredible supremacy “WOMEN”. Sighting the deteriorated ailment of country a query
that strikes my mind: tomorrow this country will be left with girl or not? Even
the one we crave will implore or not? Answer is nowhere even not in the stories
of granny.
How can
people hate with a foeticide inside womb of her mother are the people have
completed waned from their cognizance. Feminine
foetuses are aborted and baby girls slayed after confinement, leading to a horrendously
slanted sex ratio. Numerous of those who endure face discernment, bias, violence
and abandonment all their lives, as single or married women.
When we talk about the country’s development we forget the incredible power of India at a recent survey it has been proved that ‘Countries that have expanded opportunities for women and girls in education and work in recent decades have largely achieved greater prosperity and moderated population growth while limiting child mortality and achieving social progress for all’.
From the confinement
to the last immolation ceremony of parents, males are identify as God that if
boy is not than how parents will attain “moksha”. Analysts say entrenched variations
in social brashness are desirable to make India's women more dwindling and
secure. There is profoundly engrained patriarchy and prevalent misogyny in enormous
wraps of the nation. The state has been found inadequate in its fortification
of women.
We say
woman is symbol of goddess but looking at the contrary condition of women in nation
where women body is only means of pleasure how can we protect our mouth by
saying this ,that if the symbol is wounded then in future ill minded may abuse
the one they entreat. The current surveys has exhibited a outrageously upshot :The
assessment found that coarsely 12% of the missing women disappear at natal, 25%
die in juvenile, 18% at the procreative ages, and 45% at mature ages. They
found that women died more from "injuries" in a given year than while
giving birth - injuries, they say, "appear to be indicator of violence
against women".
Expiries
from fire-related episodes are a major cause - each year more than 100,000 women
murdered by fiery instance in India. The scholars say countless cases could
linked to demands over a dowry leading to women being set on fire. Exploration
also found a hefty number of women died of heart diseases when ill humans scold
them.
These
findings point to life-long neglect of women in India. It also proves that a
strong penchant for sons over daughters - leading to sex selective abortions -
is just part of the story.
Verses have
assumed to influence that they can change everything but I contemplate that verses
are also vague in altering depreciated outlook. At last I only want to say to
the Incredible power that :
“A woman is the full circle.
Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”
Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”
