Underprivileged of Planning Commission

When I passed and reached the new semester I was blissful as now I would be able to study Economics. It was nice for me as I like politics and now I can link politics of economy and vice versa economy of politics. Last week the planning commission of our country released the new statistics of the poor. I feel bizarre when these high grade officers sitting in big centers at Delhi calculate the number of poor in our country. They do this only to satisfy their political bosses. They do this to give happy feeling to the politician who from these statistics desires to come back in the government.

Therefore last week it was announced by the commission that during 2004 to 2009, more than five crore underprivileged commoners have come over the limit line. After listening this surely Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi, must have been felling happy but when analyzer like me started to figure out how this magic has pulled off? The outcome is astonishing this enchantment has occurred because the border line for the underprivileged had been altered. Planning Commission have now decided that who earns 29 rupees in urban and 22 rupees in rural areas would not been considered as poor.  So the new-fangled mechanism to shorten the poor is altering the limit line. Preceding year when commission stated 32 rupees in urban areas ruckus was the outcome because all of us knows in metro towns like Delhi and Mumbai a beggar also earns 100 rupees a day. After having food at two times a day this 100 rupees is certainly not a saving. Therefore for other necessities these beings have to beg around. They only desire of these people is to save at least that much cash from this they can craft a shelter in slum areas. But only for this minute desire the initial funding is of lacks so this desire is only a dream in our country nothing more. Accordingly if they are not from the underprivileged section of our country so what exactly is poverty?

As the class-representative of my class Janardan says and I quote ‘According to government poverty and unemployment doesn’t subsist in our country.’ I don’t comprehend how; they are not ashamed after stating 29 rupees as limit line? How they are not embarrassed after fooling their political bosses? I am sure if anybody communicates with these officers behind closed doors they will articulate that these policies are useless because major part of the money goes to the corrupt officers. This was attest when I conducted a twitter interview of a senior officer of planning commission that these schemes are futile and if government gives underprivileged directly through the money order each poor will receive more than eight thousand rupees and directly they will come out of the actual limit line. When I asked him why we are not doing this? He laughed and articulated reason is political. After Manmohan Singh’s government stated his second tenure all schemes are developed by the team Mrs. Gandhi. Manrega and security bill are their harvest. Schemes are wonderful   but fact of the matter is the system of our nation is not favorable as it is jam packed with corrupt products. If I take an example from my hometown Allahabad, the condition of river Ganga is awful, in spite of great schemes by the government; this is because of ill governance and corruption. Moreover how has the clout to question on Mrs. Gandhi and her team?

Consequently, these officers of the planning commission have discovered novel method of hoodwinking populace and their bosses and finally present a statistics which utters that we are developing. Whether number of poor decreases or not they don’t care? Their master motive is to satisfy their political bosses. There is no problem if their bosses change when government changes their theorem will not change. Their motive would never been for the development of commoners but only to please ‘Mantri Ji’.
