Shrine World Of Sufi Music

'Sufi’ a music of love, divine, sprituality and a direct way to connect the almighty…….since the time Mugals came to India we experinced a tinch of sufism that flourish the Indian Classical music…sufi music bloomed after the works of Bulleh Shah and Khwaja Ghulam Farid..Sufi music is central to the ‘sema’ ceremony of the whirling dervishes. From the sun of Africa the shores of Atlantic oceans,to the mountains of Pakistan and Iran. Sound and music occupy an important place in the life of most Sufis. Sufi Music crosses cultures in Egypt, Syria, Persia, Uzebekistan and India.

Sufi music is a tool for the believer to get closer to god, dissolving the physical realm into the spiritual one by polishing the heart and enhancing the spiritual aspect of the human being over the physical being.A deep spiritual connection is established and the sufi releases all worldly attachment, to dissolve into god light. sufi is a music of soul for muslim mystics. For sufi music, each experience is different .it transcends the physical realm into spiritual one.
If we talk about the last 50 years of Sufi music then I don’t think that I am wrong, if I say that it is regarded as the best form of music in the entire world. A ‘rusted string’ that has demolish the distance between ‘devotee’ and ‘the Supreme being’.
In India Sufi is one of the most popular genre and we can feel a slight change in the music style too. Music world is full of beautiful sufi tracks .. dama dam must kalender , garaj baras pyasi dharti , maula mere maula , ali more angna , and lots more . Kailash kher a renowned Sufi singer of India brought a different form of sufism in his tunes.. Tune kya kar dala, mai to tere pyaar me deewna hogya , saiyaan , piya ghar avenge are some tracks that added a feel of ‘junoon’ in sufi music.
‘Ghazal’ is a part of sufi music that is known as “ music of love with sad  emotions” . Jagjit Singh and Ghulam Ali Khan are precious gems of ghazal singing. Tere bare me jab socha nahi tha, tere aane ki jab khabar, chithi na koi, hum tere seher me , chupke chupke are tracks that can easily touch the soul of anyone.
Just like our world, sufi music forms one unity yet integrated in its diversity. There is deep mystery and truth in the music it reveals itself gently and amibly , and caresses any listener to open to encountering it witout prejudice.
